Getting Started

  • Just make a decision that you are going to do this challenge.
  • No need to sign up.
  • Download the list of 100 books (see below) or pick up a list in the library.

And then?

  • Tick off any books on your list that you have already read - you may find that this gives you a head start!
  • If you've seen the film version of a book, it doesn't count. You have to have read the book!
  • Plan to read about 20 books a year, over five years, if you want to accomplish the challenge.

What's the reward?

  • Reading is its own reward!
  • Completing the challenge will also give you a sense of accomplishment.
  • You will be a well-read, well-rounded, well-educated person.
  • You could use your participation in this Reading Challenge as evidence of your involvement in a cultural activity when applying for a Scholarship or Dean's Award.
